CHAMBER MUSIC PLUS

Our pick of forthcoming performances...

The new 2022/23 brochures were published in July 2022.  Email us with your address if you're not on our mailing list and we will send you a copy - let us know if you'd like the Central or the Northern edition, or both.

Do check back to look for additional concerts added to our website during the year.

Three Choirs Festival fundraiser

On the mornings of Saturday 18 and Saturday 25 February, Adrian Partington, Director of Music at Gloucester Cathedral, will play the two collections of “The 48”, two sets of preludes and fugues by JS Bach in each of the 12 major and 12 minor keys. Come along to this marathon effort to meet a fantastic musical challenge.  Attend in person, or watch the livestream, for a minimum donation of £5.
See the Three Choirs Festival website for further information and to book.

Michael Hopkins, one of our subscribers wrote to us to say "Having been on the mailing list of Chamber Music Plus for more years than I can remember, and always finding it very useful, may I take this opportunity to say how impressed I am with all the new things you are doing in expanding the information of music available, and the beautiful way it is all presented. This latest mailing was an absolute delight to receive, chock full of so much information from so many areas - my diary is already filling up fast!"
And we were delighted to receive a letter from a lady who recently visited Tewkesbury and found a Chamber Music Plus brochure in the distributor outside our house.  She says "I simply want to congratulate you on such an excellent programme - such good lay-out, production values, and so much information in an accessible form....(I am not on-line...).
Another subscriber, Kevin Quin, wrote recently to say "I find your brochure an invaluable resource, alerting me to concerts and recitals that I probably wouldn't have picked up on elsewhere."

CHAMBER MUSIC PLUS

Complementary to the printed Chamber Music Plus brochures, this website lists many chamber music and other classical music concerts in the Central and Northern areas of the UK, from solo piano recitals to orchestral concerts and opera.

Each concert listing gives the promoter’s name, website and box office website where different, and phone number, with ticket prices.  Many of the concerts are given in venues which have unreserved seating, with tickets at just one price.  Some promoters offer concessions and these vary, some just applying to young people and/or students, some to disabled or the unwaged. Some venues charge a booking fee on top of the listed ticket price, and/or make a charge for postage; please check the details when purchasing your tickets.

Most concerts are part of a series, and subscribing to several of these concerts can provide for significant savings on the cost of individual tickets.  Additional information is available from the postal and web addresses provided in our Promoter Directory.

Please do mention this publication Chamber Music Plus to promoters when booking your tickets – we could not publish it without their support.

To be sure of receiving future copies of the brochure, please email jill@chambermusicplus.uk or write to us at the address below with your postal and email addresses.  Please let us know if you would like the Central or Northern brochure - or both!    We will not share your details with any other organisation.  Our privacy policy is available here or on request by post or email.
