WED 14 – SAT 17 JUNE BIRMINGHAM
Summer Chamber Music Festival at Birmingham Conservatoire
Hear the wonderful music of Mendelssohn and Schumann plus much more in Birmingham Conservatoire’s Summer Chamber Music Festival. The festival celebrates the achievements of the Conservatoire’s student ensembles. This year, Strings and Piano will focus on Mendelssohn and Schumann, whose wonderful Romantic chamber music includes so many favourite works.
The opening showcase concert brings offerings from different departments, finishing with Mendelssohn’s Octet in which The Gildas Quartet (this year’s Junior Fellows) will team up with four strings students. The Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Prize is always a highlight, with five finalist ensembles giving their all.
Festival tickets £30 advance only. Day tickets also available.
